Redondo girls volleyball beats Mira Costa in Power Varsity Classic final

MANHATTAN BEACH — The Redondo girls volleyball team had been reeling after recent back-to-back losses to Los Alamitos and Mira Costa.

Saturday, the Sea Hawks had a chance to turn the tables in the Molten Power Classic tournament.

First, Redondo (24-8) swept Los Alamitos in two sets in the semifinals at Mira Costa. Then in the finals, Redondo took control early in the first set and rallied in the second to defeat Mira Costa 25-14, 25-22 to win the two-day tournament.
